Coronavirus (COVID 19) and high risk populations like those who are on Medicare need to be much more careful than those in lower risk positions. For ways of protecting yourselves checkout our last blog.
As a service announcement. There are many scammers out there using the Coronavirus as a ruse. But the SSA has stated this will not slow or stop your Social Security payments.
Why is it so important for people over 60 years old? But for those over 65 are more likely to be susceptible too the virus and likely to get sick. For those who have Heart disease, Diabetes, or Lung disease it is more likely that Corona Virus (COVID-29) will be terminal. These are the reasons why COVID 19 and high risk populations are such a problem.
But the recommendations do not change no matter what the risk level or which population you are in.
So as a reminder: If you do not have COVID-19
- Stay at home when possible
- Wash your hands regularly with soap and water
- Practice social distancing
- Isolate yourself
- Wear face mask when around others
- Do not share dishes with household members
- Let your doctor know before you go to see them you think you have COVID-19
- Monitor your symptoms
